Myanmar is located in mainland Southeast Asia, bordering two larger countries, China and India, as well as Bangladesh, Laos, and Thailand. With its longstanding Buddhist heritage and rich natural resources, the country has many historical and nature-based attractions, some of which are yet to be fully realized as significant tourism resources. Since emerging into the global economy in recent years, Myanmar is making strides in its hospitality and tourism industry to propel the economy and people into a development path.
