ITB Berlin

In 1966, the International Tourism Fair (ITB, or Internationale Tourismus Boerse) was launched in Berlin. The ITB is organized by Messe Berlin, the Berlin Trade Fair Organization. The travel trade show grew parallel to the tourism industry and, by the 1980s, found its fixed place at the new Internationales Congress Centrum (ICC) at the old radio tower of Berlin. In 1994, exhibitors from 167 countries attended the continuously growing ITB. The ITB is now the world’s largest and most important tourism trade fair, with more than 10,000 exhibitors and 170,000 visitors from all over the world.
