Cruise Lines International Association

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is the cruise ship industry’s largest trade and travel consortium, with headquarters in Washington, DC. CLIA primarily promotes and advocates on behalf of the North American cruise ship market. CLIA works on behalf of cruise lines and travel agents for research and marketing communications purposes and lobbies for legislation to benefit the cruise ship industry. In 2015, the CEO of CLIA since 2010, Christine Duffy, left to become president of Carnival Cruise Line, the world’s largest cruise line. As of 2016, Cindy D’Aoust was president and CEO of the organization.
