Youth hostels are lower priced accommodation options for travelers who wish to maximize their spending budget. Youth hostels usually have shared rooms and restrooms and showers. There are youth hostels with rooms that are all male, all female, or co-ed, and many have separate bathrooms and showers for men and women. In comparison to hotels, youth hostels provide significantly less privacy to their guests. While some youth hostels offer single private rooms for a higher price, most consist of shared dormitories.
