Stakeholder analysis involves identifying individuals or groups that are likely to affect and be affected by a decision or action taken by an organization. Stakeholder analysis in the tourism system is highly complex because of the inherent interconnectedness of the tourism system; actions taken by a transportation organization affect the organization itself, as well as individuals and organizations in the destinations to and from which transportation is provided. The methods of stakeholder analysis in tourism are diverse, and can range from bidirectional activities such as tourism planning to more unidirectional activities such as newsletter distribution.
