The National Coalition for the Homeless (NCH) is an American charity based in Washington, D.C., with a mission to end homelessness. In addition to what it calls “housing justice,” the coalition seeks to improve economic conditions and health care access for homeless people and ensure their civil rights, including the right to vote. NCH’s activities include public education, public advocacy, technical assistance, and grassroots organizing. The organization produces educational material to assist teachers in educating children on issues relevant to homelessness. In addition, the organization researches and writes reports on these issues.
