The Lingap Children’s Foundation is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization created by former CMS Energy Vice President John Drake to assist street children and orphans between the ages of 6 and 16 who have suffered from childhood abuse, neglect, and exploitation in the Philippines. It acts in conjunction with the Lingap Children’s Development Center, serving as the fund-raising arm of the organization in situ since 2006. Based in Jackson, Michigan, the foundation receives most of its support from partners that are also based in Jackson, including Richmond Brothers, CP Federal Credit Union, Eye Services of Jackson, and the Transfiguration Catholic Church.
