Liberia

The nation of Liberia, which has a population of approximately 4 million, is located in western Africa and is bordered by Sierra Leone, Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, and the Atlantic Ocean. Liberia is one of the poorest nations in the world, ranked 174 out of 187 on the United Nations human development index. Approximately 83.8 percent of the population lives below the international poverty line of $1.25 per day.
