Exclusion

Exclusion is a condition in which a person or community is prohibited from obtaining what other people or communities are entitled to have. In the present sense of the term, exclusivity is the result of a mala fide intention by which the target community or person is maliciously barred from rights and opportunities to use physical, natural, and state resources; to participate in governance and democratic process; and to avail themselves of other activities available to other members of the community. Exclusion is not always political and social; it can also be emotional and ideological. Exclusion has a close relationship with poverty.
