ChildLine

ChildLine is a telephone help line in the United Kingdom. It was established in 1986, at the suggestion of a television producer, as a means of providing support, in a manner that is safe and confidential, to children who are suffering from abuse. ChildLine provides a phone number that children can call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at no charge. To protect children who may be suffering from abuse at home, telephone service providers do not display calls made to ChildLine on customers’ statements.
