charity: water

charity: water (CW) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2006. In 2014, it was given a four-star (out of four) rating by Charity Navigator, an independent charity evaluation service. Based in New York City, CW has funded over 6,000 projects in 20 countries, with the goal of increasing access to clean and safe drinking water in developing nations.

CW was founded by former club promoter Scott Harrison, who worked as a photojournalist for the Christian hospital ship charity Mercy Ships for two years after abandoning the club scene and years of drug use.
