The Center on Budget and Policies Priorities (CBPP) is a nonprofit research organization based in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1981 to establish federal budget priorities, especially in regard to low-income families, the CBPP analyzes the impact of budget programs and advocates effective policies for reducing poverty. Operating at both state and federal levels on issues of public policy, the CBPP is a leading think tank addressing concerns of individuals and families in or near poverty.
