Center for American Progress
The Center for American Progress (CAP), founded in 2003, is an independent nonpartisan educational organization. Its motto is “progressive ideas for a strong, just and free America.” This institute is a public policy research and advocacy organization that is “dedicated to improving the lives of Americans through progressive ideas and action.” It promotes progressive ideas and believes that Americans can better themselves, their families and children, and their communities through education, hard work, and economic freedom. The United States is a place of countless opportunities, and the CAP’s liberal economic point of view considers that opportunities can be obtained through freedom, justice, and economic mobility. The headquarters of the center is in Washington, D.C.
