Women’s Empowerment

Women’s empowerment refers to strengthening the place and status of women in domestic, social, cultural, economic, and political life. Women’s empowerment is a prerequisite for a developed society and can prove a very powerful tool for eliminating poverty. Empowered women seek an end to any type of household injustice, which impacts national and international policymaking and developing plans and programs.

The gap in the access to resources between men and women has given birth to the concept of women’s empowerment. The concept is associated with the feminist movement, which has played a major role in ensuring the rights of women. The women’s empowerment movement grew out of the ideology of the feminist movement and seeks to better real-world social conditions for women.
