The U.S. National Defense University (NDU) is an advanced education institution, or federal staff college, located at Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington, DC. NDU provides numerous interdisciplinary educational programs and opportunities for personnel of the U.S. Armed Forces and for civilians (including personnel from other countries around the world).
