The United States Air War College is the U.S. Air Force’s senior professional military education school. Its mission is to educate senior military officers, U.S. government civilians, and select international officers in matters of national strategy, national security, joint war fighting, and regional global security issues, preparing them to serve as critical and strategic thinkers able to lead in critical national security positions. A combined military and civilian faculty delivers the curriculum, accredited by the U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to award joint professional military education credit and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award a master of strategic studies degree.
