U.S. Air Force Academy

The U.S. Air Force Academy serves as the service academy for the U.S. Air Force. Its mission and function are to educate, train, and inspire future officers to lead the air force. Although the U.S. Air Force Academy is a military institution, it is also an undergraduate college. The school is a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I college offering a four-year bachelor degree and participating in collegiate athletics in the Mountain West Conference. Academics, athletics, military training, and character development are pillars of the academy experience. Although a top-tier school in the first three, the latter has caused the institution scandal.
