Sweden

Sweden is a country in the Scandinavian region of northern Europe, located between Finland and Norway. Despite its modern neutral leanings, Sweden has a long and violent relationship with warfare. Sweden impacted the history of warfare in three pivotal periods: the Viking Age, the Swedish struggle for statehood, and the Stormaktid. Since then, the Swedes have maintained a complicated neutrality, although recent developments show that this period of neutrality may be coming to an end.

Although it is likely that humans lived in Sweden far longer, modern archeology dates the existence of settlements in Sweden to 10,000 BCE, with the development of agriculture and larger settlements dating to about 4000 BCE.
