Srebrenica

Srebrenica is a town and municipality located in the Republic of Srpska in southeastern Europe; the Republic of Srpska is one of two autonomous political entities, along with the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of the nation-state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Srebrenica is located in the eastern part of this country near the border with the Republic of Serbia. It was the site of a war atrocity that took place in 1995 during the Bosnian War (1992–1995).
