Royal Military College of Canada
Since its foundation in 1874, the primary mandate of the Royal Military College (RMC) of Canada has been to train and educate young men (and later young women) for the service of Canada. Undoubtedly, this mandate has evolved from modest beginnings to the renowned institution that is RMC today. They are two unique periods relative to the history of RMC: the one from its foundation to its closure (called the old RMC) and the one from its reopening to the present day (called the new RMC). Throughout the years, RMC became more and more attentive to changes and transformation, and is now a key leadership institution within the Canadian Forces.
