Religion/Spirituality of Trans People

The meaning and relevance of religion and spirituality differ across individuals. For many people, religion and/or spirituality (i.e., religion/spirituality) help them make sense of life, death, and reality and may be central to how they understand and organize life and make decisions; to others, religion/spirituality may be irrelevant. Many people find themselves reflected and affirmed in their religious/spiritual worldviews, communities, and practices. Many trans people also use religion/spirituality to make sense of their lives and experiences but may not find themselves reflected in the same way that cisgender (cis) people might.
