Poetry and Poetics

Trans poetry is the writing of poems and the practice of poetry by trans writers, particularly those who consider themselves poets. Trans poetics is writing about this body of literature, which so far has tended to have a manifesto-like quality and to engage in reflections about the meanings of one’s own work. While only becoming visible as a literary category in the 21st century, trans poetry now seems to be both popular and inevitable.
