College Undergraduate Students

Trans students in general have a more positive experience in college today than ever before. But this improvement is relative and remains uneven. The extent to which trans students continue to frequently encounter institutional and individual discrimination depends on a number of factors, including the type of college they attend, their academic major, the cocurricular activities in which they participate, and personal characteristics, such as how visible their transness is to others, their particular gender, and other aspects of their identities.
