Tencent
Tencent Holdings Limited (Tencent) is one of the largest Internet and holding companies in China, which provides a wide range of social media, web, and game products. Tencent holds investments in more than 70 companies, including the Chinese business-to-consumer website, JD.com; the Chinese ride-sharing and car-hailing company, Didi Chuxing; and the online food company, Ele.me.
Tencent is known for its social network products QQ and WeChat. It is also the developer of Tencent Games, the largest online game platform in China. In addition, Tencent has its own online payment gateway, Tenpay, and mobile digital wallet service, WeChat Pay.
Tencent made its initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on June 14, 2004, and raised 1.55 billion Hong Kong dollars (US$200 million). As of the end ...
