The relation between racism and the Internet is a complex topic that no single discipline can fully define or engage. Race and racism as seen through the Internet are often underrepresented or missing entirely from the study of race itself. Within the discipline of sociology in particular, discussions of race and racism often fail to note the interactions among race, ethnicity, and the Internet.
