Podcasting

A podcast is a digital audio file available on the Internet for automatic download. Like a radio program, podcasts are typically produced as episodes in a series. Unlike a radio program, however, audiences do not need to tune in at a particular day and time, but instead, they can listen to podcasts “on demand” at a time that suits them. Listeners can subscribe via a syndication feed. As new recordings are produced, this feed automatically downloads them to the listener’s computer or mobile device. Podcasts can be monologues, interviews, or multihosted programs.
