Internet Surveillance

Given its global scope and the access it gives to billions of people to information that might not otherwise be available, the Internet has proven to be a remarkable change agent. But the same facility that enables this access offers many others the ability to watch what we are doing, where we are going, what we desire, and the relationships we have among friends and the friends of our friends. This latter capability is what constitutes Internet surveillance.
