Internet Society

The Internet Society is an international, nonprofit organization that plays a key role in shaping Internet policy and standards and enhancing access. Its goal is to promote an open, democratic, collaborative, and transparent Internet everywhere by advocating for a constructive policy and technological environment. Its mission statement proclaims that its mission is “to promote the open development, evolution, and use of the Internet for the benefit of all people throughout the world” (Internet Society, n.d.).
