Baidu

Baidu Inc. (Baidu) is one of the largest Internet companies in China. It was founded by Robin Yanhong Li and Eric Yong Xu on January 18, 2000. It is headquartered at the Baidu Campus in Zhongguancun, the largest technology hub in Beijing and one of the largest hi-tech development zones in China. Its flagship product, Baidu.com, is the largest Chinese search engine, in 2016 occupying a 79.07% market share in China, and ranked fourth globally in terms of market shares after Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Often called “the Google of China,” Baidu has developed a series of Internet services besides the search engine for both Chinese and global users, including online maps, streaming media, social platforms, and cloud storage.
