University of Southern California

The University of Southern California (USC) opened in 1880 to 53 students and 10 educators. Today, USC is a university with an enrollment of over 33,000 students and over 3,200 educators. It is located in one of the greatest metropolitan areas in the world—Los Angeles, California.

In February 2006, Eli and Edythe Broad created the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at USC. This center was made possible by a $30 million gift from the Broad family to the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
