University of California, Davis

The University of California (UC) is a public university system that includes 10 separate campuses, of which the University of California, Davis, is one. Like most of the other UC campuses, Davis offers undergraduate and graduate programs. Medical centers are also located at many of the campuses including Davis, allowing the institutions to maintain a close link between clinical teaching programs and new therapy development. At the center of the stem cell programs at Davis is a combination of basic science and clinical medicine. UC Davis, established in 1905, is located close to the state capital, Sacramento.
