Stem Cell Network North Rhine Westphalia

Founded in 2002, the Stem Cell Network North Rhine Westphalia (NRW) is an initiative organized and funded by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of North Rhine Westphalia as a platform for scientific exchange. The Network organizes all stem cell research in the state so that universities and other entities of stem cell research can easily share information and collaborate on projects. This kind of cross discipline can accelerate the research of scientists specializing in specific aspects of stem cell study.

A state network also helps scientists stay abreast of the many emerging legal and ethical issues surrounding the study of stem cells, as well as keep up-to-date on the public debate about the research and use of embryonic stem cells. As such, the initiative ...
