Hebrew University of Jerusalem

Since 2000, Israel has been an international leader in human embryonic stem cell research, with the government and the public demonstrating consistent support for human embryonic stem cell research efforts in the country. This scientific policy supported by Israel’s government officials appears to coincide with the beliefs and teachings of its religious leaders. As such, the country’s religious, scientific, and bioethics experts proactively and unanimously support Israel’s human embryonic stem cell research when testifying before the government’s bioethics advisory committees and councils.
