Digital Religion

The arrival of the Internet has disrupted human societies and profoundly transformed culture. In this context, the religious has also undergone significant transformations, and in particular, the emergence of digital existence. Christopher Helland clearly distinguished the emergence of this new religious phenomenon from the dichotomy: religion online and online religion. Religion online is an extension of the religious offline. Through this term, the sociologist intends to designate the extension of the classical religious in the field of the Internet.
