Case Study

A case study is a social scientific qualitative research method that serves as a tool in the process of collecting or obtaining information or data from human experience without a control. It is a special form of empirical narrative research tool. The purpose is to draw inferences from empirical real-life social phenomenon data. This research design places people, events, and experiences in their social and historical context in order to gain intuitive understanding, which can then be communicated to the public. A comprehensive definition describes the case study as an organized and systematic method of studying and reporting various aspects of a person, family, group, or situation using a structured outline of subjects and questions.
