Sociometric Tests

Sociometric tests are research instruments used to map social relations and to configure a social structure. These tests are part of a research technique called sociometry that belongs to quantitative research methods aiming to measure social relationships. A sociometric test typically concludes with a graphic representation labeled as a sociogram, which graphically and mathematically captures relational patterns between group members by showing the strength of inter-member ties. Sociometric tests are relevant instruments in designing social science research, including studies in social psychology, educational psychology, health-care management, business and economics, and so on.
