Gay Men and Feminism

Feminism is a social movement that advocates for equality and equity within the context of political, social, and economic areas—foremost for women but inclusive of everyone. Early feminists questioned the role of men in feminism, expressing concern that men, with their privileged gender identities within a patriarchal society, would usurp power from the feminist movement. Yet more liberal feminists have argued that not all men have equal access to male privilege and may benefit from feminism.
