Transgender Day of Remembrance

The Transgender Day of Remembrance, the Trans Day of Remembrance, or the International Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR) occurs annually on November 20. On this day, international recognition is given to the many lives of transgender people that have been lost to anti-transgender hate violence over the preceding year (typically from November 20 of the previous year to November 19 of the current year). This includes those who have been attacked and murdered but does not include those whose lives have been lost to suicide. Transgender people and their allies across the world are called to participate in TDOR events.
