Civil Wars

The Genesis of Civil Wars

The Copenhagen Consensus project, a nonprofit organization that uses cost-benefit analysis in considering possible solutions to global problems, identified civil conflicts as one of the basic priorities, or global challenges, for development. The experts of the panel noted that measures to reduce the number, duration, and severity of civil wars would rank very high among priorities for development if such measures could be expected with any confidence to succeed.
