Johnson & Johnson

Johnson & Johnson is a U.S. manufacturer of consumer and pharmaceutical goods, as well as medical devices. It was founded in 1886 and has been listed among the Fortune 500. In recent years, Johnson & Johnson’s reputation has suffered slightly due to various fines, litigations, and product recalls. Its litigations involved shareholders, among others, while its fines accumulated due to poor pharmaceutical marketing practices. The company is located in New Jersey.

Arguably one of its better-known product lines includes the Band-Aid lineup, including baby products, medications, Tylenol, skin care products, and bandages. In December 2012, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a drug designed to fight tuberculosis. It was the first drug designed for this produced within the past 40 years.
