HMO Research Network (19 Regional Health Care Delivery Organizations)

The HMO Research Network (HMORN) is a research organization founded in 1994 with the goal of improving population health and health care delivery. The members of HMORN are nonprofit health care delivery systems with research departments in the United States and Israel. Not all HMORN members are HMOs (health maintenance organizations), but most include an integrated health care delivery organization with the ability to define patient populations and access electronic administrative and medical records. HMORN members agree to participation in the network, including the HMORN Virtual Data Warehouse (VDW); contribute to the HMORN core infrastructure; and participate in efforts to create resources and streamline processes to enhance network projects.
