Canadian Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics

The Canadian Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (CSPT) is a nonprofit organization devoted to the promotion of research and education in pharmacology and therapeutics. On July 1, 2008, the Canadian Society for Clinical Pharmacology (CSCP) and the Pharmacological Society of Canada (PSC) merged into one society, the CSPT. Prior to this, both CSCP and PSC had been in existence for over 25 years. The CSPT is a member of the International Union of Basic & Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR), with James Hammond and Rommel Tirona serving (as of 2015) as the Canadian delegates to IUPHAR, an international body that meets every four years at the World Congress of Basic & Clinical Pharmacology.
