American Society of Health-System Pharmacists

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) is a national professional pharmacy group dedicated to the advancement of health care and the improvement of medication use. With headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, there are currently over 40,000 members including acute care pharmacists, ambulatory care pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy students. ASHP was created to serve as the voice for hospital and health-system pharmacists. Membership provides access to a variety of activities, including continuing education, networking opportunities, federal and state advocacy efforts, training and certification resources, and publications.

History
