Youth voice is a generic term that refers to the ways in which young people are given opportunities to express their opinions, ideas, perspectives, experience, and knowledge. Giving young people the opportunity to shape the programs, communities, and institutions that affect their lives is a key tenet of positive youth development theory and practice.
