Clubhouse Network, The

The Clubhouse Network is an international network of community-based centers where young people from low-income communities create projects based on their interests, with the support of adult mentors. Clubhouses encourage young people to become creators, not simply consumers, of new technologies. The Clubhouse Network has become known both for the scope of its reach—engaging youth in more than 20 countries around the world—and for its creative learning approach, which has influenced the design of other youth programs in community centers, museums, libraries, and other out-of-school environments.

The clubhouse learning environment is designed as a creative studio, combining features of an art studio, music studio, video studio, and robotics lab. Clubhouses provide youth with tools, materials, and examples to spark their interest and imagination.
