After-School STEM Programming

After-school programs have emerged as a vibrant and dynamic setting to engage young people in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning. Youth-serving organizations such as 4-H, Girls Inc., and Girl Scouts have long included aspects of STEM education in their programs. However, in the past few years, the after-school field as a whole has recognized STEM as an important area of enrichment and embraced it enthusiastically as an important part of comprehensive programming.
