Internet Association

The Internet Association is a lobbying organization for about 40 Internet companies based in the United States, including Google, Amazon, eBay, and Facebook. It was formed in 2012. The motto of the association is: “We are the unified voice of the Internet economy.” It represents its members’ views to members of Congress and to federal regulatory agencies, along with issuing public statements and publishing op-eds addressing policies that affect the Internet and their companies’ operations.

The association supports the decentralized operation of the Internet through a multistakeholder process and calls for keeping the Internet free from government control.
