Digital Media Ethics

In the field of media and communication studies, the notion of ethics is central to our contemporary understanding of how mass and digital media have evolved over time, how they operate, and how they shape our society. Media ethics is not a field where univocal explanations or definitions are possible, and there remains a lack of consensus over what an ethics of media should comprise. Especially in recent years, the debate around ethics in the media has been integral to the challenges, questions, and unexplored areas of research posed by a world that is increasingly, and more intensively, permeated by media content and media devices.
