Communications Research

The term communications research refers to the field of studies that investigates the origins and development of communication science. It is focused on new research methods and approaches that aim to analyze the relationship between society and the mass media. The goal of this entry is to describe, as broadly as possible, the complex and composite field of research concerning the communication and media studies through an overview of the most relevant research.
