Broadcast Education Association

The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) is an international academic and professional organization for educators, researchers, students, and professionals interested in the scholarship and practice of broadcast and digital media. Based in Washington, DC, the organization offers programs, activities, creative competitions, research grants and awards, publications, and opportunities to present scholarly research. The organization’s motto is “Educating for Tomorrow’s Media,” and its online mission statement indicates BEA exists in part to serve as a forum for analysis and debate of issues of social importance.

Membership in the BEA includes media educators, students, and professionals in digital media. Organizational memberships are available to colleges and universities that offer electronic media courses and curricula.
